Control Active Time Frames

Control when gateways conduct transactions.  Implement temporary scheduled pauses to your gateways in case of maintenance.  Ensure that sales and transactions continue by allowing other gateways to accept funds in the instance of a paused primary gateway. 

Dictate Order and Processing Types

Determine what types of orders and processing types flow through a specific gateway.  Depending on business rules and merchant account restrictions, process particular orders through a specific gateway. 

Maximum Amount per Transaction

Merchant accounts often impose maximum dollar amounts per transaction.  Processing above the prescribed maximum may damage the tenuous relationship between merchants and their merchant account.  Orderwave will restrict transactions to a specified maximum amount, ensuring compliance. 

User-Based Access

Assign administrate gateway and transaction access based on user roles.  Reduce the potential for transaction errors by unapproved personnel.

Stickiness

A sticky gateway has successfully processed a previous transaction and will continue to process subsequent transactions which use the same credit card.  The payment method entered during the initial transaction will stick to all subsequent transactions, allowing scheduled processing of continuity orders, without additional customer interaction.  Reduce customer frustration and order abandonment by facilitating the transaction process, thus sustaining sales.

Merchant Load Balancing

Diversify merchant accounts and reduce dependency.  Load balancing advocates a fluid transactional environment and promotes business sustainability.  Distribute payments across various accounts.   Apply either round robin, transactions proceed through gateways in a circular order, or dollar amount, funds distributed evenly across accounts.

CHALLENGE

Collective Brands, the initial parent-company of several of the aforementioned brands, pursued an ambitious expansion of their eCommerce presence in Europe. Requiring an order management solution with the ability to handle dynamic warehouse handling plus multi-currency support, Collective Brands sought to streamline their work flow and increase efficiency. Out of the box, Orderwave validates US zip/state or Canadian postal code/province combinations.  Should any discrepancies arise, Orderwave immediately places the order on hold in addition to a notification on your home dashboard.  Your customer service or account representatives can handle accordingly.

With the added address verification service, Orderwave logic automatically validates and corrects invalid US addresses.  That's it! Orders will continue through their life cycle without any delay.  Increase efficiency and streamline your workflow; ideal for high volume e-commerce.

Our ever-improving continuity interface

Viewing/administering continuity

We’ve just rolled out some changes to the way to can view and administer continuity orders.

Now, when viewing a continuity order, you’ll no longer be prompted with a dialog box that you have to deal with before viewing the order, instead, you’ll be presented with the following alert:

This new information box lets you know:

  1. That this is a continuity order, an order spawned by Orderwave because of a membership in an autoship program
  2. What place in the shipment count this order falls in (i.e. This is continuity order #3)
  3. The parent (original) order number with a link to view it.

Additionally, you used to have to view the parent order to administer the continuity enrollment – this is no longer necessary! Now you can view the continuity enrollment simply by using the “Continuity” tab right on this page.

However, when dealing with “autoship membership” that is enabled on the parent line-item, you will still need to enroll/cancel/change that parent line-item.

Continuity Cancellation

While there is a distinction between cancelling an order, and cancelling someone out of a continuity program, many new users simply cancel the order and assume that the continuity enrollment will be cancelled as well. There are operational reasons why this may work as a means to stop the customer from receiving future shipments, but for reporting reasons, the customer will still be “enrolled”.

To remedy this problem, we’ve included the ability to cancel all continuity memberships when cancelling an order:

Now you (and your reps) can do all of the cancelling you need in 1 dialog, keeping your reporting accurate and your operations precise.

Automate Inventory Management For Returns

Orderwave is pretty fast – and sometimes it’s too fast! When an order has been charged/approved, it’s often already had inventory deducted and reserved for it by the time you may need to void/refund it.

Now, you’ll have the option to reverse that inventory deduction when a void/refund is approved. This option is only available for orders that haven’t been batched for shipment in Carrier Connect, so it won’t affect orders that have already shipped (or about to be shipped). This feature will help you maintain more accurate levels of inventory, because refunded orders won’t inadvertently reserve inventory.

You’ve always had access to this function separately – it’s located under “Shipment Functions” when viewing an order.
